Two Minutes To Midnight at Clubbed Thumb Summerworks
May 24, 2019
My new new NEW play TWO MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT will have its first reading in Clubbed Thumb’s 2019 Summerworks! I’ve been writing this piece all season as part of the Early-Career Writers Group at Clubbed Thumb.
Directed by Taylor Reynolds, the reading features LaToya Lewis, Emily Cass McDonnell, Renata Friedman, Scott Sheppard, and Chinaza Uche.
I’m delighted to be spending the next two years in a cohort of twelve writers, directors, and composers at the Orchard Project’s NYC Greenhouse Lab.
The Greenhouse is an accelerator for generative artists whose work may defy categorization to seed ambitious and unexpected work, form new relationships, and develop a new generation of theater.
The Gap wins the Barrymore Award for Outstanding New Play/Musical
I’m thrilled to share that The Gap was awarded the Independence Foundation Award for an Outstanding New Play/Musical at the Philadelphia Barrymore Awards.
This marks the my second nomination, and first win, for the award. The Azuka Theatre production of The Gap also received the Barrymore for Outstanding Sound Design (by designer Mike Kiley), along with seven additional nominations.
